Fibers & Process

In the creative process of weaving and dyeing the garments, I weave on a hand loom using 100 % natural fibers as llama hair hand spoon in the preandean mountains of Argentina, merino wool from Uruguay, ALPACA FROM PERU and silk from the cocoons of the silk butterfly. I also use some cellulosic fibers such as linen, cotton AND BAMBU.

THE PROCESS

The weaving process develops with the rhythm of the breath, inhaling and exhaling, I weave breathing  simple patterns that  take  shape in the weave, without previous planning. It is the inspiration of each weft pass who gives me the next one. That’s why my garments are one of a kind.

COLOR

I give them colors using the power of nature chemistry. Are the plants, roots, barks, flowers and insects who give me the color that I extract using old and simple techniques of extraction of color.

ALCHEMY

In my studio, I turn on the burners, the big pots starts exhaling the scented steam of the simmering of plants just collected from the native area around me, or some barks, or foreign pigments form Latin America, Europe or Asia , wrapping me,  and make up an  alchemy in their relationships that achieve the most beautiful and harmonic pure colors from nature.

I use different dyeing techniques as inmersion , wrap, stamped and brush painting or a combination of them in one garment. It is really a dance! I listen to the rhythms of my wish , what I wish to portray and there I find the way to get it. It is in the air, whispering ways of constant creativity.

LET YOUR ALCHEMY UNFOLD

Let color reveal its alchemy,
turning into a moment of pure magic—
the kind you wait for like a child,
only to discover it’s more than you ever imagined.
